Rural Advancement Society (RAS)

FIWE has extended its arm in the name of RAS (Rural Advancement Society), an independent institute for vocational/career oriented courses. The board members of RAS has decided to collaborate with the govt. So we collaborate with NSIC.
 
About RAS Mission :
RAS works on the belief that well trained professionals need not necessarily be born, but can be developed through well-conceived and well-directed Vocational Training Programme.
 
Goals and Objectives :
v Ensuring every youth to have respectful life in the society and earn a good livelihood through various vocational training programmes being offered by RAS.
v The institute strives to work for the educational upliftment of youth irrespective of caste, sex or religion.
v RAS aims to provide vocational training to youth, including, the weaker sections of the society, in order to make them self reliant.
v We also provide excellent career counseling. The institute would assist in placement and/or assist in starting their own work in the fields they are efficient. Also help the youngsters in guiding for their career and support new career options available.
v The institute facilitates women empowerment.
v RAS undertakes the publication of newsletters, research papers, house magazine and of a journal for the exposition of the objects of the society. This is aided by seminars, symposia, special lecture etc. on different dimensions such as, role for voluntary agencies, problems for weaker sections and other problems for the general public.

About NSIC

National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), a Government of enterprise, was set up in 1955 with a view to support, aid and foster the growth of Small Scale Industries in the country. One of the programme being implemented by NSIC is to provide vocational training to youth through various skill development programmes to enable them to earn their livelihood by way of setting up their small enterprises in any of the manufacturing / services sectors or seek employment opportunities.

NSIC’s Training and Development programmes, primarily looks at the knowledge, skill and attitudinal components of every human resource. This provides an opportunity for first generation entrepreneurs to acquire skill on basic trades through various vocational training schemes and gain exposure in all areas of business operations such as business skills development, identification of appropriate technology, hands on experience on working projects, project / product selection, opportunity guidance including commercial aspects of business etc. Images of RAS Institute :
