President's Message

My joy, knows no bounds! For me and for FIWE, it is a culmination of a journey-started way back in 1993, when FIWE was established at Hyderabad (India) by converting the Women’s Wing of the erstwhile National Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs (NAYE) into an Autonomous National Level Women Entrepreneurs Organization. The Mission, one single most reason to exist and persist, “Empowering Women through Entrepreneurship Development to improve their Economic Condition”. The idea was to provide a networking platform for the Women Entrepreneurs and to provide a Package of Services to the Associations of Women Entrepreneurs in different parts of the country. It was also envisaged to develop and train the Women as entrepreneurs and to ensure that their opinions, ideas and visions are collectively and effectively taken up with the policy makers and other forums engaged in the development of Business Women.

Since its establishment, FIWE has gone a long way. During this journey, the membership of FIWE has gone to more than 12,000 having received numerous National and International recognitions. We have had the opportunity of hosting the 7th Global Conference in February 2000 in association with Ministry of Industries, Govt. of India and co-sponsored by SIDBI, CIPE (USA) and IDBI. A large number of Projects have been taken up and implemented during our existence and various Programs and Conferences at National as well as International level have been hosted by us in collaboration/association with SAARC, GOI, SIDBI, IDBI, CIPE, so on.

We also did our bit to take up Rural Skill Training Programs. It was a significant contribution towards government’s efforts to help women to be self employed. We took up training programs in numerous sectors/subjects in 7 districts of Madhya Pradesh. We intend to take up similar programs in future as well, and continuously endeavor to taken on projects to deliver value and benefit to those in need.

In October 2004 we made our maiden effort to go for a Buyer-Seller meet to Kyrgyzstan (CIS). A group of 11 business women, who made it there, have proven through their successful experience, that FIWE is one organization, that aims to consistently empower its women members, to explore new vistas of business and had been a guiding factor to make the whole visit extremely enriching for the participating women entrepreneurs, and facilitated business generation at the Kyrgyzstan Buyer-Seller meet worth Rs.500000.00 in a short span of just 5 days.

With an excellent record and milestones, we endeavor to continue our quest for excellence with continuous efforts and improvements in all the diverse fields for Women Empowerment and eradication of Poverty & Illiteracy and make our Indian a better place to be…

I extend my best wishes to you all!

Dr. (Mrs.) Rajnee Aggarwal
